Local News: Man shot dead at funeral
A man was shot to death Friday afternoon at a west Toronto church where a funeral was being held for another shooting victim.
Police said the man was attending a funeral for Jamal Hemmings, 17, who was shot to death nine days ago near Eglinton and Oakwood avenues.
The victim was gunned down in a Seventh Day Adventist church on Albion Road around 12:30 p.m.
About 300 mourners were inside the church when the shooting occurred.
Police are seeking a number of suspects who fled the scene after the shooting
