Local News: African Canadian Heritage Association Walk-a-thon
The African Canadian Heritage Association will be holding its annual fundraising UMOJA walkathon this Saturday, October 28, 2006.
The walkathon is ACHA's major annual fundraising event. Monies raised, go 100% into funding the Saturday heritage program.
ACHA has been teaching African and Caribbean history to children in our community since 1969. Thanks to the financial support, that we receive from our community. Being self-funding and self-sufficient, allows us to develop and deliver a heritage program that is relevant for our children, in an environment that brings out their best and provides them with a solid understanding of their history.
